Baby Boy Heuer at Week 25!!

Baby's Length: 8.75 inches
Baby's Weight: 1.5 pounds
Baby's Size: Box of tissues!!
This week is a big week for our little man.
Things baby Heuer will accomplish this week
1.The structures of his spine will begin to form--joints, ligaments and rings. These will protect all the important spinal cord which serves as the information transmitter to his body.
2. Blood vessels of the lungs develop.
3. His nostrils begin to open. Infact, there is a study out of Belfast that suggests babies at this stage have the capability of scent preferences!
4. The nerves around the mouth and lip area are showing more sensitivity now. When he is rooting for food later on, these will be valuable!
5. His swallowing reflexes are developing.
6. Dexterity is improving. Our son can make a fist and would clasp objects placed in his palm!
Whew! I'm tired just reading about all that he has to do this week! Please be praying that he continues to grow stronger and stronger everyday.
This morning was completely hystarical. I was laying on my left side reading a book at 7 this morning, when I noticed that my little guy was up and playing. I lifted the covers and realized that I had a HUGE lump on my right side. There he was defying the laws of gravity, and he was changing position on me. I think he definitely moved out of the breach position because his kicks are SO much higher and even stronger now. It was so amazing to watch him move from postition to position trying to find the most comfortable spot. He must have been having a good time in there because he didn't really stop to rest until about 10 in the morning. It was just so cute! I wish I could have video taped my belly- it was the most incredible thing to watch!
Love you all so very much! Please know that we covet your prayers!
